Brock is sadly right, in the right conditions (i.e wet with little to no oxygen) steel rusts much more slowly (hence why the Titanic is still fairly solid, when if she was above water, she would have rusted away by now). High grade steel used for warships, as well as the non ferrous metals in items such as guns are highly valuable. The market for military memorabelia is also highly bouyant, especially for warships lost in action as items are always more scarce.
I agree on the Nordhausen ammunition numbers. Average stowage was more like 300-500 rounds per gun in this period (the Gearings had 360 rpg). Even today a type 45 destroyer only carries 800 rounds of 4.5in ammunition. On the other hand, the 3inch guns on the Tiger Class Cruisers had 850 rpg plus ready ammunition (160 rpg), likewise the Mitschers had 1000 rpg.
Hello All! I am indeed semi back. After several very mad and draining years, I have found the time and energy to pop back up here. I am definately not up to running a nation again yet, but will definately be around more again as an observer.
Reading the Coldmere Protocol, Bruce is of course right, it is a non-agression pact and insurance against for instance Britain ganging up on Germany with Japan (assuming Japan fired the first shot), not a full blown mutual aid treaty That said, the British will assume both the best and the worst. The Nords, well nobody knows what they really think.

Hi all, long time no post. I dropped by to see how things were going, and look at some things, but have found that part of the Europe encylopedia doesn't seem to be visible. For example, i can't find the folders for the Netherlands, the UK or most crucially Nordmark. Regards, Earl822

When I came back to Wesworld, my life I thought was going to become simpler, and quieter. Oh how wrong I was! Work & Home life have both become considerably more busy since I got married in April. This has unfortunately meant that as you may have noticed I have not been able to make any progress with Nordmark.
