Similar in size to the German F-1 class escorts, with single 130mm mountings replacing that design's twin 105mm mounts. Probably too small for really good service in the deep ocean, but in more sheltered waters should be OK.

5 tons - Forward mortar thrower

This, however, is rather more problematic, depending on what it is. Are we talking about a single-barreled howitzer of some form, a spigot mortar, or what?

She's much more heavily armed than a Flower-class corvette, on less tonnage.

Could I suggest halving the gun armament, and raising the overall freeboard by at least a metre? The quarterdeck of the current design might be pretty wet.

Too much armament on a small hull. You want some of these babies instead. Merchantile type construction, nice and easy to produce and operate. Good seakeeping speed and range. Armament is pretty easy to refit with whatever you want as there are no deck penetrations.

From an independant observer such as yourself Rockie, that can only be good.

(if you were still playing India, she'd have come back from the redesign with even more guns!!)

What? Never! I'd have told you to decrease the freeboard by at least a metre.
