Wind Tunnel Model

A twin-engined, twin-boom cargo aircraft with a low wing. The rear fuselage has clamshell doors to aid loading. Powered by two 2,375hp Minerva Condor II 24-cylinder radial engines. It was designed for civil use. A crew of three was carried and up to 48 passengers or troops can be accommodated in the fuselage. The prototype first flew on 26 June 1946. SABENA took a small order but the Air Force was impressed enough to order twelve in 1947 which were delivered in 1948-49.
