The Iberian delegation are willing to take on the mandate offered by the League, the islands being left uninhabited.

We invite the navies of France and the Phillipines to patrol the waters of the mandate at will in their ongoing pursuit of pirates in the south china sea, but will not permit any landings except under emergency situations

An old South African politician is heard to mutter "I wonder if the Filipinos find that speach of her ally embarrassing? Given raising tension within this SATSUMA alliance I wonder how long it will continue to exist and who will be the first to break away....hmmm..."

Oh pshaw. SATSUMA is an alliance, not a collective. Member nations are entitled to, and indeed, expected to have differing opinions from time to time.

For all the world knows, the final verdict could be exactly what the Filipinos wanted...

Yes, it would be rather suspicious if member nations always agree with eachother. After all, the world is not perfect.

The Chilean Government will abide by the League decision. We will send a wireless massage to Singapore for the cruiser Blanco, which should arrive shortly. They will deliver this massage to the O'Higgins in the Parcels Islands, and which time the Chilean Navy is spend two days removing all items from the island, save the grave site of Mr. Banker. After that time, assuming the destroyer Capitan Herlock has been informed of the situation, the Chilean Navy will withdraw from the Parcels to Singapore. The Blanco will continue to patrol the South China Sea until her current assignment has ended. The O'Higgins will return to Chile.

We hope the Filipinos will act as honorable and leave the islands as well.

*Filipino League of Nations delegate, upon hearing of decision to hand over to Paracels to Iberia, gets very red in face, bangs shoe on table, yells insults at Iberians, bangs shoe on table, questions mental state of LoN delegates, bangs shoe on table...*

Statement from Licenciado Piña, Esq., Vice-Presidente of the Philippines

"While we are dissapointed with the League's decision, and appalled that the Paracels will be given to our old oppressor, Iberia, we will abide by the League's decision.

All equipment will be removed from Duncan and Pattle Islands, although the weather station building will be left for the use of the Iberians."

(Duncan Island = wx station, Pattle Island = refueling base, construction had just started)

"The Atlantian delegate also agrees with the Delegate from India. The Paracel Islands should be maintained as a League of Nations mandate with Iberia as the caretaker. We feel that this is the best way to maintain peacefull relations in this particular region."
