Noviembre 15

Victory! Federal forces under the command of General Ferreira have taken the City of Guadalajara. The rebels where decisively routed in heavy house to house fighting as the Federal forces led by General Carranza stormed the earthworks in the face of heavy fire.


Diciembre 25

The Goverment has revealed documents captured during the assault on Guadalajara. These documents show that the Royal Shell Company has been involved in the smuggling of arms to the rebel forces. Royal Shell vessels are being subject to stringient inspections an arrival, and there is talk about revoking their license and nationalizing their oil fields.

It is also suspected that arms to the rebels are being smuggled thru the Central American Iberian colonies. This is currently under investigation.


Enero 13

The Destroyer Mendoza bought from Argentina is overdue and presumed lost. Elements of the Gulf Fleet have been deployed to search for her.


Enero 20

The new submarine Tiburon reported engaging a ship while enroute from Atlantis. According to its captain, while crossing the Antilles they where suddenly attacked by a mysterious ship. The foggy conditions prevented an identification of the assailant. The Tiburon submerged and fired a spread and a few minutes later reported hearing a pair of explosions. After surfacing no trace could be seen of the mysterious assailant.


Febrero 14

An explosion in Veracruz has reportedly damaged the drydock on the harbor. Apperantly an attack by rebel forces, the Judiciales have reported the arrest of a number of those involved. This attack will placed the only large dock on the Gulf out of service for at least 3 months.


Marzo 1

The carrier Cinco de Mayo , the cruisers Acapulco and Veracruz , and four destroyers set sail yesterday from Acapulco. No destination was given and they where last seen saileng west into the setting sun.


Marzo 20

No word on the ships. When asked the Secretary of the Navy Manuel Azueta could not comment due to "National Security".

Now that I would like to see, since Veracruz is on the EAST coast of Mexico! They'd be sailing through the mountains towards Mexico City. :)

Maybe but Mexican cruisers don't, unless the Canal is in a semi-working condition, I'd suggest the Carrier is still in the Pacific someplace, rather than Veracruz.

Ahhh!!! That's what happens when your ships are named after your ports. They actually sailed from Acapulco.

Im confusing my ports, there was another error, the drydock explosion was in Veracruz not Acapulco.

August

The FAM has reported seeting a new fighter in the hands of the rebels. It is tought to be of Italian origin.


September

Another airbattle broke out between elemnts of the FAM and the Rebel Airforce. Two Tecolotes where reported as lost in exchange for 3 rebel planes. One of the shot down rebel planes has been positevly identified as an Italian CR 32 fighter. How this plane has gotten into the hands of the rebels is still unknown.


October

Reports indicate that a fleeing rebel band has been caught and destroyed in the mountains of Zacatecas. Rebel attacks have dropped down of lately, and the army feels victory is at hand. Elements of the 1st Armored Cav continue their hunt for the few remaining rebel forces.

November

Several captured documents have been declassified. They conclusively link Italian companies to the rebel forces. Also recently issued Vatican Bonds have been found in rebel hands. The Goverment has ordered that all ships originating from Italy will have to pass a rigorous inspection before being allowed into port. Also elements of the Mexican Army and FAM have been redeployed to the Guatemalan border and the Yucatan Strait. This will keep a close eye for any smuggling attempts.
