January:

3.January
The passenger ship Queen of Asia leaves Shanghai. On board there are the crews of the ships that China has purchased from Bharat.
These are the two aircraft carriers CV Aruval and CV Katar and the four destroyers of the G-131 class. After the ships have reached
China, they should be placed immediately into service of the Imperial Navy.


7.January
The Chinese ambassador to Mexico signed the contract for the purchase and delivery of 6 Yucuman class DDs.


11.January
The Chinese delegation meet the management of the Junkers aircraft factory. The EURASIA airline plans to purchase some aircrafts to expand their air fleet.
Thus, the Ju 390A and JU252A are on the shopping list.

13.January
Representatives of the Junkers are happy about the contract of the EURASIA airline. The chinese representatives signed an order of 10 JU252A
and 6 JU390A at the Junker airplane company. Delivery of the first aircraft is planned by the middle of the year.



15.January
The chinese delegation met with the management of the Heinkel aircraft factory. The Chinese Air Force is looking for a high-altitude fighter, and expressed
great interests in the He 219. For this reason, the purchase of a greater number of aircraft as well as the possibility of a licensed production in China
will be discussed.



17.January
Unfortunately, the negotiations between the Heinkel aircraft factory and the Chinese delegation come not to a conclusion, since the desired aircraft type is
not yet released for sale, and therefore also a license production in China is beyond question.

18.January
The chinese delegation met with the management of the NSU plants in Neckarsulm. The Chinese military has shown a keen interest in the SdKfz 2, the small "Kettenkraftrad HK101".
This vehicle is intended to support the mobility of the Chinese mountain divisions, since it is ideally suited for use in rough terrain.



20.January
The chinese trade delegation agrees with the NSU works, that the chinese military purchases immediately 60 of these vehicles. In addition, a contract was signed with the Mukden Arsenal (Manchuria). The vehicle will be built in the local factories under license.



21.January
The chinese delegation meet the leading helicopter manufacturers of Germany. The chinese armed forces express great interest in the two types, the Focke Wulf Fw223 and the Flettner Fl282.



23.January
Based on the N1-F1 Heavy Fighter, the Nanchan Aircraft Inc. Ltd. present their latest aircraft. This is a long-range reconnaissance aircraft, the Nanchan N2-R1.
It has a long, slim fuselage with two wing-mounted engines.

Maybe I should get a few German-speaking Frenchmen from Alsace to tour China and see how much money they get. ;)

The test phase of the TH-1 was successfully completed. It has been shown that the vehicles meet the expectations placed on them.
For this reason, the CADO and the Army HQ decided to convert 50 of the old CI-32L tanks into TH-1.

04.February
After intensive testing on the test site of the Mukden arsenal, the first chinese rocket launchers (based on the towing vehicle "Dèngshì") is transferred from mass production to the Chinese army.
Due to its simple design, the construction of different carrier systems is possible (trucks, tanks).




The rocket launcher is armed with the rocket of the type "feilóng".

The last six ships of the Menggin-class are put back into service by the chinese navy, after their refit and test runs.
With these vehicles, the possibility of anti-submarine-warfare increased significantly.

In Shanghai the seaplane carrier "HICMS Shanton ", which is at present probably the most extraordinary ship in the chinese navy, after his test trials is taken into service.

24.February
The Bohai Shipbuilding in Tianjin were festively decorated, because today two special ships were launched. These are the two amphibious ships of the "Chù" - class.


28.February
The next 5 Zhu Mortars are delivered to the Chinese army. At the handover ceremony participated not only high-ranking military but also representatives from the policy.

The modernization of the chinese army is still progressing. Thus the new light tank the LP-15 and the new medium tank , the MT-25A, are released for mass production.
The light tank will replace the obsolete tanks of the type CI-32L and TM38L, whereas the medium tank will be the standard tank of the chinese army.

I find this item curious. Does this represent one month's production or some longer period. Historically, it took Rheinmetall Borsig to ten months to construct the six production "Karl" mortars.

It represent of course a longer period, because a one month's production is even with the chinese manpower very unrealistic.
I thought about a production length of nearly one year, as you have mentioned.

I still question the Chinese need for such weapons, but that is something entirely different.

The chinese aircraft manufacturer Guizhou Aviation Industry, Chengdu Aircraft Industry, Harbin Aircraft Manufacturing Corporation
and Nanchan Aircraft Manufacturing Company merge to the Chinese Aircraft Industry Corporation Group. With the establishment
of this group and the associated consolidation of the know-how of the chinese aviation industry, it will compete more effectively.

It is an accident in the fertilizer factory near Yantai. Early indications are that there 23 people were killed.

18.March
The licensed production of the two Japanese aircraft, the Tachikawa Ki-58 and the Mitsubishi Ki-65 reached its climax.
The training divisions of the Chinese Air Force receive with these two types valuable aircrafts, which also can be used as transports.
Both types are build by E.W.I.L as EW-354 and EW-357.

According to unconfirmed reports an average amount of triethanolamine and phosgene in the accident at the fertilizer plant near Yantai was released. The death toll rises to 49 now.
