Developmental evolution of the LT 33, the idea of two different caliber anti-vehicle guns (one for tanks and another for soft-skinned vehicles) created redundancy plus the weight considerations forced the designers to use the now considered obsolete 35mm as main gun. Considered a failure due to the weak protection and main armament; also a very cramped vehicle even when the size of the average Philippine soldier of the period is taken into consideration. Upgrades later on got rid of the 25mm and replaced the 35mm with a 57mm gun that entered service in 1939.
Quantity in service: 180 units delivered by December 1941, limited production continuing
