The size and placement of the canopy makes the fuselage look very large and cavernous. The taper on both the leading and trailing edge would make this aircraft somewhat more complex to build than it should, and I imagine it would be 'hotter' than one might want in a trainer.

Just my two pfennings.

I think that looks better, though the sharply-tapered wing still looks odd.
