Looks like I'll need to change some things for the FACh in 1941.

Where are the specs for the Caproni Ca.1001 Astore? I can find drawings and a writeup for it, but no specifications. And were there ever specs for the DAF Eagle?

Peru has more heavy metal than I thought, still given the tensions on the continent it makes sense.

Caproni Astore Specifications

Obviously the various Italian types won't be delivered in one block, but over a number of years.

Hmmm, don't seem to be able to link directly to correct post...

This links directly to the correct post.

Are the G.55s Serie I or Serie II? And same question for the Astore?

I asumme that both the G.55 and Ca.1001 are the current production model (or are they built in parallell?)

Fiat G.55 Centauro would presumably be Serie II with 4x20mm. Only the first few dozen were Serie I while some issues with the 20mm installation were sorted out. Still, they could be Serie I aircraft, or alternative armament options if required.

The Caproni Ca.1001 Astore will be Serie II as it was found that there were too many problems with the remotely controlled turret on the Serie I aircraft. Rear-firing armament is somewhat light as a result, but the aircraft is faster from the reduced drag and mass.

The procurement folk at the FAP headquarters should take note that the Dornier Do215 went out of production long ago and spares might be hard to find.

The Ju87 will be going out of production during the course of 1941 and spares for it will be come rarer as time goes on.

I was Peru long time ago and the Do215 were licensed Iberian built aircrafts IIRC. CG is the best person to ask. Of course is being a while and I think I deleted the PMs related to the aircrafts.

perdedor99, the listed Fokker D.VIs is that a typo for the D.XVI?

IIRC my last discussion with Mac on the subject indicated that Iberia was building the Do217, which is still in production for the Luftwaffe as well. If the Peruvian Do215s were Iberian sourced, then the problem is moot.

So there is the answer. Thanks but I didn't want to respond for CG. I found my PM asking him for his medium bomber but I deleted the response. So my memory is not that bad.

Hmm, I see you've updated your air force since last I paid attention.

Would you still be interested in an indigenous design? :p
