Imported version of the American M1 Carbine. Predominantly acquired with folding ("paratrooper") stocks and 20-round box magazines. Distributed to paratroops, light infantry, artillerymen, military police, armoured troops and rear-echelon forces.

- Action: Gas-operated, rotating bolt
- Overall length: 38 inches / 965 mm
- Barrel length: 18.7 inches / 475 mm
