Evolution of the original UT-600 A (Dolphin II class)

UT-600 C

-modfied superstructure
-snorkel added
-storage boxes for additional reserve torpedoes

UT-600 CB

-like C version but with advanced AA armament

UT-600 D

-improved turret construction to increase underwater speed
-no deck gun
-enlarged hull, increased fuel storage capacity and thus increased range, more internal space for reserve torpedoes
-(increased diving depth?)
-improved rudders and stabilizers
-increased engine performance

-same as D version but with hydrodynamic AA-mounts and improved superstructures

You say before they start getting launched off my slipways :D


Edit: I guess I will add in what designs will become what. In 1942 UT-600 C will become the Dolphin III class, which as the description says is just a slightly improved Dolphin II. 1943 will see the UT-600 E become the Shark I (or Dolphin IV, I haven't decided yet), which will be the pinical of this line of subs.
