Deathshadow & Captain Harlock

hmmmmmmmmmmmmm,

Playing with a couple of ideas for stories concerning Coldmere in my head, and something came to me:

What did happen to Captain Harlock?

I know R&R nearly blew up the deathshadow a couple of years back, but what then?

IC: Who? What? Who's that? Where am I? Who are you? What is this place? Ooh, bacon!

OOC: Captain Harlock is retired (combination of old age and arthritis) and owns a hacienda in Puerto Aisen, where he spends most of his days working on his steam yacht Libertad (a replica of Turbinia). Deathshadow is sitting in two pieces on the bottom of an unnamed fjord where only the Chilean Navy knows where to find it. In a bit of irony, Chilean Presidente Edmond Vizcarra, a former naval aviator from the Andean War, has an eyepatch and a nasty facial scar on the correct side. I figured people would notice since I dropped so many hints; but no one ever did. *Shrug.* Since no cared anymore I retired the whole concept of Harlock.

We cared! We just...never heard anything new from you on the subject, and assumed you had no interest in continuing his tale.

...well, in fairness, that's... pretty true, actually. Harlock doesn't fit in my mental image of how Wesworld works.

To be honest its been so long since we've heard a Harlock tail its likely good for his retirement that everyones forgotten him!

Fair enough. If he has retired, he has retired.

Btw, has anybody heard of Manzo lately? Another character (read: running gag) that seems to have disappeared...

Erm, unless he has been moved, he is probably still in some bar or casino in Coldmere, thats certainly where I left him.

If he's not there, then something must have happened when he took the Manzo Special for a spin. :D

While not dealing with Manzo himself, the last bit of news mentioning his name was actually March 4, 1940... and for a while he was leader of the IJNAS's Display Team Manzo's Flying Circus (now known as the 11. Air Demonstration Squadron "Blue Impulse"). I mentioned Manzo in the Paris Air Show thread. Definitely necessary to incapacitate him before the air show, otherwise he'll try to land an H8K1 on the Seine. :D

French intelligence: "Oh yay, free flying boat for technical investigation! And we don't even have to travel very far from our offices to get there!"
