Hadn't thought about that one, although the wing looks a little large for that...

Only reason I know is because Vuk said what it was on IRC last night.

I'd forgotten about the later prototypes, I was thinking of the V1...

The lower one is actually a transport (as seen by the PAT livery)

The upper one a fantasy aircraft, Ca.135, Beaufighter and He-111 bits

An interesting looking design but I can see several things that would appear to be shortcomings in practice

1 - there is very little rooom at the front of the hull deck for a driver's hatch; indeed, there doesn't seem to be one. Now, it could be in the glacis and not immediately visible, but that has its own issues.

2. The size of the turret implies a rather long recoil to the gun or an extremely large turret basket. In either case I wonder how much ammunition could be stored within the hull and where that might be.

3. The engine is either very compact or it impinges on the interior hull space significantly, which in turn would cause problems with item 2.

Acctually the turret appears to be similar to the IS-3's saucer shaped turret. It also appears that the drivers hatch is in the front upper glassis, I asume something similar to the T-34.

Interesting design, interesting livery.

Esthetically the turret looks a bit large for the hull and seems to sit too far forward on the hull. Other than that, it appears workmanlike.

I like the suspension layout, though it looks a bit light for the weight implied by the turret and gun

With reservation for the Gun the rest is OTL Tiger (P)

Visually, this design is badly unbalanced. Mechanically, the size of the engine implies far more weight than could be balanced by the airframe, so I'd suspect such an aircraft to be extremely nose heavy. Mashing a P-35 airframe with a big Shevetzov or other Russian engine just doesn't work for me.

It does look a tad odd with that mashup.

What does it say on the side? "Aer Chorna hEireann"? Is that right?
