Ship lists

Gentlemen, is it ok to post only the current serving ships and add the newer vessels as they are commissioned, or do I need to post them as they are laid down?

I post ships from around 1906 to the present day in the SIM, adding new designs as they come out. I also add additional ship names to the list if they are a continuation of a ship class such as my G class destroyers.
