new ships laid down

The two destroyers laid down are the remaining G class DD's to complete the destroyer squadrons they have been alocated to. The CA's are the first new CA's laid down since the Cleito Treaty has come into effect, while the sub chaser/patrol boat design is a slightly modified version of an earlier design.

Interesting...

Looking at the size of your fleet I have to note how different fleets are in Wesworld. The SAE is allowed to use same tonnage but if you look at the fleet lists you can see that the RSAN has only about half the strength of the Atlantian Navy....

Reminds me to go kick some butts in my yards and get more ships on the slips.... ;o)

Cheers,

HoOmAn

Keep in mind quite a few of these ships are elderly vessels, my cruiser fleet, at least in my eyes, is in need of serious improvement. The admiralty class destroyers are also getting up there and are quickly getting outclassed by new destroyers.
The SAE will surely have an edge in battleship numbers due to the carrier clause that pertains to Atlantis. Given the appearance of your designs Hoo I'd acctually welcome your shipyards producing some more beautifull ships!

Thanks...

Guess what? I have to redo all my drawings - or at least those with units on it that are larger than a DD. Reason is deckheight. So far my decks had a height of 6 pixels because I originally assumed a pixel to represent a square 40x40 cm wide. As it turns out the scale of my drawings means a pixel is 35cm x 35cm. So my decks aren´t 240cm high as originally meant. I thus have to raise the decks to 7 pixel (245cm).

Believe me - it´s an awful lot of work on a black/white drawing and I haven´t even found out how to do it on those I coloured. :o( It also changes the charackter/look of some of my vessels. It doesn´t seem necessary on small vessels - a deck of ~210cm is okay for those I guess....

So it could take some time until I post really new stuff. You know, I haven´t that much time for drawing.

Regards,

HoOmAn

I've noticed that too, I use the same scale as you and deck height makes a HUGE difference. I started to colourize my pictures but I found that the detail droped slightly due to my shading technique getting coloured over, something I haven't mastered in colour.
