Chilean Coast Guard

The Chilean Coast Guard is responsible for lifesaving in Chilean territorial waters. It may call upon naval warships and aircraft as necessary.

Chilean Ministry of the Interior

The Ministry of the Interior is responsible for a number of different tasks including aerial survey. The Ministry of the Interior also indirectly exercises oversight of the Carabineros de Chile, the national police force. In 1938 the Carabineros loaned a number of military aircraft, and in 1939 formed their own internal aerial force to assist in police-work.

Chilean Post Office Air Service

The Chilean Post Office Air Service is a governmental organization responsible for carrying the mail, both internally and externally (mainly to Argentina). Long-distance air mail service is carried out using rented space on LAN-Chile airliners.
