China already has the two aircraft that Germany would submit to such a competition, the Fw-187 and the Bf-110.(BFW is having the historical problems with the Me-210 and the -410 is probably a year away in WW 1938 ).

Lockheed, to it's disappointment, finds that the P-38D/E models weigh too much for the competition.

Haha, Spartan's Cutlass design doesn't even come close to meeting the weight requirement.

P.48 Lampart

Polish entry.
Government backing for the Lampart has stopped in poland as the new defense doctrine doesn't require this type of plane. The plane is now in prototype stage.
Poland will supply assistance in Chine domestic production.
The aerodynamic layout is sound and proven on Los bomber.
We are prepared to arm the plane with whatever weaponry China wishes.
The plane weight is a little over the stated maximum but can meet the requirements if the rear gunner position is not needed.
Powered by two Kinsei engines, however we are willing to use other engines If china wishes.

Plane can be used as a torpedo bomber, dive bomber variant can be developed.

Weight
4500kg empty
6500kg loaded
Speed
600-640km/h

The Fw-187 looks okay (range & weight), but the Bf-110 hasn't the required range.

Also a weight close but over the requirements is accepted.

...is this intended to operate from a carrier deck?

China seems to have a whole lot of different types of aircraft to accomplish similar missions already. Why not standardize on an existing type and just use it?

The different parts of the chinese army doesn't like each other. Thus, everyone wants to have its own version or create their own requirements.

??? The WW Bf-110B is based on the OTL Bf-110 C-4, which had a range of 2410 km......

The P-38E weighs over 5000 kg empty, with a takeoff weight of over 6500 kg or up to 7000 kg with a full load of external stores.

Latvia offers the Sieremdres. It has everything nessasary except the range, and it is considerably lighter. It is our belief that extra fuel tanks could be fitted, driving up the range. Although it is not twin engine, it is considerably cheaper.
