Odd. I would have figured the Netherlands would be.

Since Italy seems so disinclined to participate in the League, perhaps the Netherlands might like to join the Council of Twenty... :P ;)

We're in the rotating part, and not up right now. Actually, since Netherlands, Kongo and Belgium are seperate members, the Queen has three opportunities for input, though so far she's let the various Foriegn Ministers pick their own response.

As for Italy, they are just one of several nations that have evidenced disquiet with how the league works. Admittedly the discussion goes several ways - to slow, to interventionist, to fast, not interventionist enough. Still it appears various folks have differing views on what the league is for.

Canada votes nay? Still need the vote from Nordmark and SAE. I guess Nordmark will vote Nay to follow their allies but SAE is a very important one at this juncture.

While Canada views the majority of the proposal as favorable and enlightened, we reluctantly have to vote "Nay" as the Dominion of Canada does not wish to be seen as recognizing either faction of an ongoing internal dispute as 'legitimate' at this time.

Still waiting for the SAE vote.

I guess SAE abstain due to lack of interest. :D

If we add SAE as a abstain the motion was defeated again.
