Now that you mention it...

Does anybody know when we can hope for some closure on the whole South Atlantic war? It's been over five months of real-time, and a year and a half of sim-time, since anything was posted on the subject.

With all due respect to Peng, I'd kinda like to take that part of the world out of limbo.

As for the World Hockey League, you'll need to tell us where the teams are to be based, Wes. Otherwise, how can the Raj buy tickets?

With the south Atlantic war, i cannot see an extended war. A few short skimishes and a fairly quick win for Nordmark. The South American powers bowing out in the face of world opinion.

As for hockey, you do meen normal hockey and not ice hockey don't you?

Well, depends on what Peng had in mind. The PABB combined forces were not weak, and Nordmark was/is operating at the end of a long, long logistical train - probably vulnerable to raiding or submarines if PABB has any. Things could drag on for a while if PABB isn't incompetent.

I mean ice hockey, which from my (Canadian) perspective is normal hockey. I assume Wes does as well.

I'm not suggesting there's a team in India - but if the Raj were in, say, Stockholm, he might take in such a curious event.

When a Canadian talks about Hockey...

... but the same goes for me (despite being Dutch and our nation having a reasonably good field hockey team). When someone mentions hockey to me, I think 'Ice Hockey' as well. Likewise when someone mentions Football, I think American Football, not soccer.

... Perhaps the Emperor should folow the Raj's example and purchase a couple of tickets and watch a game together with the Empress.

I think we are fairly limited to places where we can play ice hockey. I've no idea wether we can have a cooled stadium and pitch in 1922. Probably not. I don't think there will be a huge following in Italy.

Not sure about that one either, but I do know that it can be very cold in the Russian Federation at times so there would be enough opportunities to play games there.

Well you can be sure there will be no shortage of teams in the North American league and the european leagues. Hell if the Jamaicans can have a bobsled team why can't italy have an Ice hockey team? They do in real life anyway even if it isn't very skilled. As to the meaning of hockey....WHAT ELSE WOULD A CANADIAN MEAN?!!! Of corse its ice hockey! lol
As to what country's are in the league all you have to do is raise your hand and your in!, from a players point of veiw that is. Atlantis will have 2 teams, one in the North American League and one in the Western European league. North America will no doubt have several American and Canadian teams while the european leagues and the far east league will be quite a mix. I also could see Russia having at least two teams as well, one in the Eastern European league and one in the Far East league.

On hockey: What about the South African League? What about Australia?

On the South Atlantic War: Don´t forget the family ties to the Royals of the SAE. Nordmark would not have been unsupported.

However, if Peng does not return we´ll never know the details.... Until then I take it as if there was a small conflict. Nordmark showed up in full strength and with the support of its allies and friends (and Britain because they sold the island). Seeing this Argentina agreed to retreat after some minor combats. This might not fit Pengs ideas but it allows to go on without changing history.

To be honest, I'm more interested in what happens with peace - are the PABB powers somehow limited by treaty, for instance.

I'd like to know if Peng is returning - if he isn't, I think we need to agree on an official outcome to that whole storyline.
