Heh. My argument on the TT-37 was not so much that it's too early (except perhaps the 800hp engine), but that the stats as given were too light. The original armor was probably a bit excessive as well, but the primary problem was the weight was not in keeping with the armor thickness stated.

It depends how high the signal to noise ratio is.
We hear a lot of fuss over certain tanks but other nations and tanks don't get comments at all.

As to Tigers with sloped armor, well, the preceding WW German tanks have had sloped armor, it's something that Germany learned from the Christies that it bought in the early 1930s. So it shouldn't surprise anyone that the eventual German heavy tank will have sloped armor.

I agreeed for the most part, untill I looked at IS-2 stats. Though being 6 years in advance of KV-1 stats its only 46 tons. I'm kinda wondering if I simply lower the engine HP and speed that a 45 ton tank with the orriginal TT-37's armour stats (or something similar) is possible in 1938.

I'll take a look in a bit. Who mans the .30 caliber MG in the hull? Or is it a fixed mount?
The 30 cal mg is in the front hull, the 50 cal is a co-axle in the turret.
Might as well raise her crew to 5 as well as per Perdedor's advise.
