The chinese auxilliary ships of the navy are splitted in the following types:


Fleet Supply Ship:
Navy tankers with charging device for dry goods for the supply of surface forces in long-range and long-term ventures.


modified Fleet Supply Ship:
Navy tankers,subsequently converted, with charging device for dry goods for the supply of surface forces in long-range and long-term ventures


Fleettanker:
Requisitioned tankers for supply of naval forces at long range and short-term ventures, with operating supplies, ammunition and supplies. Repatriation of prisoners


Base Tanker:
Requisitioned tankers for the supply of machinery parts from the stores on the bases, and occasionally used for the supply of naval forces at sea.


Base Supply Ship:
Requisitioned whaling factory ships for the storage of process materials, ammunition and supplies in foreign naval bases.


Submarine Supply Ship:
Requisitioned cargo ship with extra oiltanks for supply of submarines at sea with fuel, ammunition, consumables, spare parts and supplies.


Supply ship:
Requisitioned cargo ship to supply surface forces at sea with consumables, munitions, spare parts and supplies, under certain circumstances, supply of personnel,
repatriation of prisoners. At the same time appropriate for reconnaissance (so sometimes equipped with aircrafts).
