Love to know how you will get it to the other side of the Pacific. You need to get away as quickly as possible but at full speed you won't even be able to make Hawaii. Go slower and the IJN will catch up with the ship.

Your comments as well as the sim I posted. I don't think it is exactly the same as before. And regarding the "taking "escort carrier" a bit far" bit, it would depend on what you plan to escort. If that vessel/those vessels are not that fast, 33 knots is not necessary at all.
