Thank you all for your kind words and wishes. :o)

It´s been an interesting time since I got a phone call 11pm on Tuesday, telling me Amela is in hospital since 9.30pm.

At that time I was still in Hamburg and no chance to catch a plane. So I started a 500km trip by car at 11.45pm and managed to get to the hospital by 4am.

It took until 4.27pm before the baby was there and until 11pm before I was back home and could get some sleep. So since 6.30am on Tuesday I was on the feet for about 40 hours but it was really worth it and I am lucky I´ve not missed the whole thing. :o)

See above, the "NO SLEEP" phase started even before little baby was actually there! o.O

Just can´t get enough of her. :o)

(Guess there will be moments in future where this attitude may change for splittseconds - but I really enjoy it right now!)

My sister currently has a daughter who's just turned 2 and a son who's now a teenager. She's getting quite afew of those not so good moments from both ends!, and handling it quite well I think.

Congrats!

And the sleep thing isn't NECESSARILY as bad as people say, a lot depends on the baby and the parents natural sleep schedule. My (now) 5 year old didn't really cost us much sleep because I naturally get up early and my wide naturally is a late night sleeper, so she'd handle the midnight feeding and I'd handle the 4:00 clock, and neither one of us really lost much. But Dani was sleeping 4-5 hours at a crack pretty quickly, which helped as well.
