Not a bad ship if somebody's looking for a token capital ship, but an odd-ball in a larger force.

Precisely why I am willing to put her on the market. Perhaps Mexico might be interested - they have bought a number of vessels from the Philippines. I know that the second hand market is rather thin but battlecruisers do not often come up for sale.

I was surprised too, but who am I to look a decent tonnage offer in the mouth? The market's pretty thin at this point.

All reasonable offers will be considered.

Hmmm... not a bad idea to make Japan's huge MTB fleet even bigger... :)

The Belgian PC-1 and MS-1 class boats surplus to Belgian requirements have been sold to Pacifica for 3,000 tons.

From a British perspective, just trying to keep up with what stuff I have decommissioned for disposal. As of Q4/46 there are laid up:
Former Queen Elizabeth Class battleships: Queen Elizabeth, Barham, Valiant, Warspite
Former Kent Class heavy cruisers: Kent, Sussex, Norfolk, Suffolk
Former G Class light cruisers: Griffin, Gallant, Gibraltar, Gladiator, Glory, Goliath
Former S Class destroyers: Al Tami, Al Adrisi, Al Bahi, Al Shaab
Former V&W Class destroyers: Vampire, Vendetta, Voyager, Waterhen
Former Welsh Class destroyers: Powys, Cerin, Dyfed, Dummonia, Deira, Gwynedd, Luitcoyt, Rheged
Former Defiant Class torpedo boats: Defiant, Boxer, Hornet, Ferret, Lynx, Bruiser, Charger, Lark, Black Swan, Bittern, Stork, Hart, Peacock, Pheasant, Wren
Former Egyptian patrol craft: Darfeel, Noor-El-Bahr
Great War-era tankers: Elmol, Larchol, Limol, Sprucol

Some are only good for scrap but I'm willing to accept offers for some of the cruisers and even the battleships from the right places.

Have we here a present overview, which ships are for sale ??? I know nobody will sell ships to China, but it would still be nice to know what is on the market.

I've got nothing currently on the market, but I suppose I should review my planning spreadsheets.

You seems to have done well enough at Bharat's last sale! :D

Germany has nothing for the market at the moment. The Philippines continues to scrap its remaining obsolete tonnage. Yugoslavia is probably going to write off a few twelve-year-old motor torpedo boats. Beyond that, I've got nothing...

Neither Russia nor France have anything for sale at the moment, and neither are really in the habit of selling warships...

Unfortunately Atlantis has nothing for sale as new ship building demands enough tonnage that most older stuff that doesn't get transferred to allies gets scrapped to pay for new stuff.

Most are available for sale, except the Counties and QE Class and some of the Welsh (or Powys) Class are likely to be reused as trials ships. Some of the smaller destroyers and TBs are pretty crappy even for second hand use so are likely to be sunk as targets or somesuch useful role.
The Egyptian ships listed here are technically property of the Egyptian Government so direct enquires to them would be less subject to British worries (the S Class are probably well worn but the Darfeel and Noor-El-Bahr have some life left).

Peruvian Vessels for Sale

No that I expect to garner much interest, but the Peruvian Navy is willing to dispose of the three vessels of the Aripumac class during 1946 - if no takers, they will go to the breakers commencing in July of that year.

Where is DesertFox when you need him? :D

More Peruvian Ship Sales

The Peruvian Navy, having reached the conclusion that it no longer requires the aircraft carrier Lima, invites serious offers for its purchase. The vessel will be available in the 4th Quarter of 1948.

Yet More Peruvian Ship Sales

The market, I realize, is thin, but Peru has far more ships than it reasonably needs. So I will ask: Anyone interested in offering to purchase the eight ships of the Tiente Vazquez II class of destroyers?
