The market may also be limited, but the Philippine Navy also plans to dispose of its eight ex-Chilean Balintawak class destroyer escorts.

These too will be available from January 1944 forward

These vessels have been removed from the market and have been scrapped, or they are scheduled to be scrapped in lieu of sale.

Bharat advises the following units are available for disposal:

1 x Lathi class CV; this unit is due for a mid-life refit in 1946. She is configured as a training vessel but would be serviceable as an aircraft transport or experimental platform.

1 x Kolkata class CL; this unit is due for a second life-extension refit, and is currently configured as a training ship.

1 x T-19 class torpedo boat; this unit is due for a life-extension refit.

Bharat will also entertain offers for 2 x Gaudhi Sagar class seaplane carriers, but has not formally put them up for disposal.

Lathi and the cruiser have been sold to China for 1/1/45 or the end of the war, whichever is later.

If anyone is interested in acquiring a pre-dreadnought museum ship, the Mexican Santa Anna (ex-USS Idaho) is for sale to a good home. I don't want to scrap her, but will if no buyer.

Sounds to me that you need tonnage for buying more destroyers. :)

Yes; the market has been rather thin recently (how many quarters have those Yugoslav torpedo boats been on the block?). No reasonable offers refused. ;)

The USN is putting the Farragut class destroyers up for sale in Q1/45. Pending the removal of illegal Chinese tariffs the US will not accept Chinese offers, nor will they sell to any nation actively aiding or particpating on either side in the Chinese-Chosenian War, for so long as said war is ongoing.

Interesting. The so-called Destroyer King will be disappointed by that US stance...

Well not quite. There are subtleties in the English language so it isn't quite that cut and dried.

The US won't deliver or accept payment from an activist or participating nation during the duration of the war. It wull not accept bids from China until the tariffs are lifted. It will accept bids from an activist or participating nation with the provision that payment and delivery is undertaken post-war.

It is more fun to annoy the Destroyer Buying Machine by not selling them to him. :D
