1943 Philippine Disposals

The Philippine Navy will pay off to the reserve the following vessels during 1943. Tenders for disposal abroad are invited. Failing sale, the units will be scrapped.

Kriegsmarine Ship Disposal Results

The sixteen (16) motor minesweepers of the Typ M1 have been sold to Argentina – 800 tons

The twelve (12) motor torpedo boats of the Typ 36 class have been sold to France – 250 tons

Six (6) of the twelve (12) small escorts of the Vp11 class have been sold to Hedjaz – 260 tons

The remaining six (6) small escorts of the Vp11 class have been transferred to Indochina (via France) as defense assistance

The ten (10) minesweepers of the R11 class will pay off to the reserve pending future sale (bidding remains open)

Here's something a little different.

Bharat has guns for sale.

8 x twin M1924 150mm/45 guns in turrets. These were removed from the two Akbar class battleships in the late thirties, so see the original design for armor specs.

2 x triple M1924 150mm/45 guns in turrets. These were removed from the aircraft carrier Urumi in the late thirties, so see the original design for the armor specs.

2 x triple Filipino pattern 155mm guns in turrets. These were removed from aircraft carrier Sulu/Bichawa earlier in 1942.

These are effective, battle-proven weapons that would allow the discerning consumer to jump-start cruiser construction or install coastal defence batteries.

The RSAN is interested to test the market regarding minesweepers. There are eight (8) Tree class minesweepers that are due for replacement. They have been refitted for life extension in 1932. Eight sister units have been sold to Mexico in 1931.
