Japan bids 501 tons. :)

Canada manipulates the Space-Time Continuum to ensure the Japanese Bid never arrives in Riga.

Stick em in an Atlantean time dialation feild!

Honestly? I wouldn't even worry about it. Chester really isn't some cutting edge design for Japan to dissect and if they want to waste the tonnage that smaller more needy nations would be willing to pay its not skin off anyone elses back.

Yeah I mean who would fork out 501 tons on a cut-about 1912 relic.

I dunno fools are easily parted with their money.

Canada isn't worried. It's just a matter of principle. Chester and Birkenhead were sold to give a struggling nation a leg-up, not so they could play a get-rich-quick scheme. ¬_¬

AA escort for a slow coast defense BB in the Baltic.

She might have to go 18kts now and again.

And if the Middle East heats up, I can send her down the Volga to remind the Persians and their puppetmasters about who can do what to whom.

See? There's lotsa uses for a recently rebuilt Great War veteran!
