Just chuck them in the dock at Portsmouth like Illustrious at the moment.

Well Australia is interested in the Caracciolo but the price is a bit excessive at the moment.

Turkey's already made an offer with no reply so we wish Australia good luck! :) I'm even examining the possibility of building my own BB having failed to land the Caracciolo but those R's look somewhat tempting.

There's quite a few pms that I forgot to reply to from a few months back. I'll have to go and dig through them again.

For Turkey, I'd think you'd be wanting to stay with the 350 mm gun...to simplify logistics.

It could be financed by scrapping every ship you have laid down before 1910 that isn't either a Cappy or a AC, and everything with weak hull strengths! :)

(Well, a goodly part of it, about 7,000 tons worth.)

I just went through the Iberian fleet and it looks like an used car lot. Their CA were bulit in 1923 and they still have CL as active in their SIM report that are close to thirty years old. I guess they like their classics. I can smell a firesale soon. That is bad news for me in the future because I think they will glut the market of used ships and India is a seller.

Mexico can't buy Iberian, so Indian ships are still potential targets, so long as the Indians keep their prices reasonable. With Chapultepec almost finished, Mexico will be in the buyers market again.

It's all a question of the money.

If the prices are okay, it doesn't matter from which country the ships are. Money rule the world :D

The USN will be putting some of it's older Omaha class CLs on the block as the new Brooklyns become available to replace them.

3,350 tons of 13,350 required, would complete in May 1941 if fully funded by the purchaser.
