While alot of the Dutch DDs are pretty old now, and most were built before the Dutch had Sonar, and so have hydrophones.

Balancing construction needs I chose to do the long-term units first, then fill my slips with short build hulls, so I'm just moving into updating the DD fleet. The Z81/82 series are big and heavily armed so they can escort across the Indian ocean, or serve as DDLs, and I'll be rolling out a new 1600 ton class soonish.

Then you need to post your Sim Reports and update your encyclopedias. Per your encyclopedias, you only have 26 DDs, which means Mexico is, um, ALMOST LAST.

I know, I know, working on it. The destroyer section is the only one that is not up to date.

By comparison, you have...nothing over 32 knots, two different types of 5.12'' guns, a lot of LA weapons, three different types of torpedoes, and, from what I can tell, nothing younger than twenty years, with no refits.

All of the ships (with the exception of the 1920s) have been refited, they just didn't get new engines. They have standarised on the US 5/38 and 21" torpedo (with the exception of Zorro, which is a one of).

It isn't just quanity, it's quality. I'd rather have 10 great new 1,500 ton destroyers then 20 old shacks that are 1,000 tons.

Oh and I have more cruisers than you have destroyers... ;) Quantity AND quality...

You used "Quality" and "Mexican" in the same post. Tsk tsk.

Well the Mexican built Fords are outperforming the Japanese built Toyotas...

Well yeah, of course. They're Fords, of course they're going to work better than everything else. That's like saying "The Sun rises every day".

Have owned nothing but Fords and Ford products, and they've never let me down. Yes, I'm a Ford Man.

I've driven lots of vehicles. Kinda like the feel of Fords. Though right now both my personal truck and little car are Toyotas and I like em. For work trucks I've driven Fords, GMCs, Chevys and Rams. Prefer the older pre 1998(?) Fords, then Rams, then Chevys then post 1998 Fords then GMCs... though the fact the GMCs were the beater trucks of the time could explain the low ranking.

As for light cruisers..damn need them too...

1998 that is not "older"
Anything newer that 1989 is just "new"

Came to thing of it I never owned anything newer that 1989, or older that 1965.

As for CL yap you can never have enough.

I think it's time I start budgeting to get some of the British DL's when Hood finally decides to sell them.

Testing, only ship I've ever seen that can make 35 knots with 1.01 seakeeping with no transom.

All I have ever driven is Mazda/Ford and I don't have any complaints so far. I like my 2008 Ford Ranger!

What, the destroyer leaders? Those were gifted to Australia back in 1935 or so, I think.

Eight dual 150mm turrets and two triple 150mm turrets for sale by end of 1939. They could be used to built export cruisers also.

Design a SIM and India could built to client's spec. The weight oif the turrets is saved from the SIM total. Of course with India's fees included the savings in tonnage are cancelled. That's why is a better deal to for a client IMO to purchase the turrets. I have no designs in the works were I can use those turrets.

And I need some cash to bankroll some projects.

Make them into coastal defense...see, Latvia has 4 16.5'' and 12 15'' guns on coastal defense. Certainly a nation as large as India could use some guns at remote places....

And when Latvia got that? I should have paid more attention to the Russian reports. :D
