- 15 tons for depth charges (70x420-lb bombs) or mines (16x2000-lb mines)

Ships in Class:
- Teniente Aldea (DDE-09)
- Teniente Serrano (DDE-10)
- Teniente Videla (DDE-11)

- Teniente Ibarra (DDE-13)
- Teniente de la Fuente (DDE-14)
- Teniente Hoste (DDE-15)

Notes:
These ships are acquired for use as antisubmarine escorts and anti-air protection, and so their relatively light firepower is not as concerning as it otherwise might be. They were decommissioned in early 1945 to clear their names for the refitted Farragut-class destroyers.

Guardia Marina Hyatt, Chilean Light Aviation Cruiser laid down 1925 (Engine 1939)
In late 1939, the Hyatt received an extreme reconstruction intended to enhance her capabilities. The ship was lengthened by twenty-five feet, and modest bulges were added to correct stability issues. Her aircraft complement of eight floatplanes was replaced in large part by a number of early helicopters, which the Armada de Chile felt could prove more useful, as they could be recovered at speed, or in rough weather that would cause difficulties for floatplanes.

In June 1947, the ship was decommissioned and retired.
