Mmmm.... I'd be adding more deck armour, myself. 3.94" of deck armour is what we're seeing on some armoured cruiser designs now. I'd try to get 6" on, myself.

Look again. it's 6.89" over the vital spaces!!

Oh. You fooled me with the SS3 readout!

On both ships, the main belts are VERY short (lengthwise, not heightwise), though they cover the citadel. These ships are likely going to be vulnerable to being sunk without a citadel penetration, because the main belt isn't covering enough of the hull's length.

Other than that, the main battery has lots of ammo, while the secondaries might need a little more.

.............A rework of my original Jupiter design, using comments by RA and Hrolf concernig armour. My only concern is time to service.........

I'm doubting you'll need quite that many 57mm or 25mm rounds, since those weapons will only be fired in direct defense of the ship, but the 38cm and 13cm numbers look pretty good.

Doing a little looking on NavWeaps suggests that the historical numbers are somewhere around 2,000 rounds for 20mm, and about the same for 37-40mm weapons. There are no period 57mm automatics, but the postwar 57mm Bofors on the French*Jean Bart* were issued 1500 rounds per barrel (keep in mind, though, that those guns fired from an 80 round magazine on the gun).

May I inquire why the 57mm is ahistorical here? I know the Danish have been using 57mm AA since the 1920s, the British just started adding them, the Spanish are including them... I added some in on

So why the 57mm here when it's not historical?

I added some in onConstitutionbecause I noted the trend, and figured I could replace twin 57mm guns with triple 40mm guns if I didn't like it.

So why the 57mm here when it's not historical?

Basically, because it was here before anyone raised an issue about it being a-historical and problematic historically.
