No plans for military variants of the Shorts designs.

The RAAF order for the M.9 is accepted, delivery should be shortly after the first RAF aircraft.

Its interesting given the almost complete lack of threats to the UK at home.

I've a good article on historical Wellesley operations in the Sudan that I'll try to photocopy. It gives an interesting account of the problems in operating in the back of beyond in hot and dry conditions.
