Bulgaria will be sending Kapitan Dobri Kolarov, our leading demonstration flier, with a team of three pilots, flying both German-built Bf-109Bs and Avia B-135 aircraft, assembled in Bulgaria at the DAR/Avia plant.

Additionally, pilots Lidiya Ivanova, Kalina Dimitrova and eight other women of the 503 Yato, a Maritime Fighter Squadron (1) will be in England following the completion of their fighter training. They will be serving as ferry pilots for Bulgaria's newly-purchased Spitfires (2) and orders are being amended to give them an opportunity to stop at Hendon. This will be a chance for Supermarine to show off the alternate armament Bulgaria requested. (3)

In summary, Bulgaria will have:
- 2 DAR/Avia B-135s
- 2 Bf-109Bs
- Some Spitfires

(1) The 503rd Kerkenez Yato (Kestrel Squadron) is an all-female Maritime Fighter squadron that is just being formed using Spitfire Mk Is.
(2) Bulgaria's Spitfire delivery is being made from March to May 1936, with 36 units.
(3) Bulgaria's requested Spitfires are to be armed with two MG131 13mm machine guns and four MG17 7.92mm machine guns because Bulgaria wanted to maintain ammo standards between its various fighters.

[Actually, the 13mm MG-131 doesn't exist yet, the Bf-109Bs that Bulgaria has are armed with 7.92mm MG-17s and 15mm MG-151s.]

The Luftwaffe will send a fighter flight composed of Bf-109Bs and Fw-187s, and a bomber flight composed of He-111s, (brand new) Ju-88s, Bf-110s, and Ju-87s. Additional aircraft to be displayed include the Fw-200 & prototype Fw-205 Condor, a Do-24 of the North Sea Rescue Service (overflight only, since it's not an amphibian, unless other arrangements can be made), the Ju-90S (assuming the engines will not overheat), the Do-215, the He-112, and the Fw-189.

Additionally, the V-2 prototype of the DB-603 engine will be displayed, along with models of the He-177, the He-100, Do-217, and the Fw-190.

Huh.... I wasn´t aware all these types are already available to Germany.

What variant of the He-177 will be shown?

I´m not aware of any historical FW205 - so what´s the difference to the historical Condor?

Is there any water near Hendon that could be used for floatplanes or flying boats?

If so the Albatross and Osprey floatplanes could probably be presented - should the war in South America allow the SAE to send any planes at all.....

The WW He-177 is really based on the He-177B/277 (since it wasn't required to be dive-bombing capable, there was no need for it to have only 2 nacelles). It first flew (with BMW-139 engines, the same as the Ju-90S) in late 1935. At the time of the Hendon meet, it's waiting for replacement engines, since BMW has given up on the BMW-139 and will be delivering BMW-801s in late June to replace them. (That's why the note on the Ju-90S, it also has the BMW-139s but Junkers is trying to get it to work a bit more, while Heinkel's working on the He-100 and putting the He-177 on the back burner until the BMW-801s come in.)

The Fw-205 Condor has been discussed previously (both as the Fw-205 and it's original designation, the Fw-200B), it's a strengthened, longer-winged and longer-ranged version of the WW Fw-200 designed to operate between Berlin and New York.

There is no water nearby unless you count the Thames. I suppose a few seaplanes could be based at Benfleet, Canvey Island, Chatham or Southend in the Thames Estuary and flown up river and over the city.

The closest bit of water I can find is the Brent Reservoir (or Welsh Harp Reservoir) about 3 kilometers south-southwest of the RAF Museum Hendon. I wasn't sure if it would be around in the 1930s but after a quick search I found out that the Brent and Silk Stream were dammed in the mid 1830s to form the reservoir so it should be around in 1936. It's about 1300 meters long and the narrowest part is about 220 meters... though I don't know if that's the size it had back in the 1930s.

Yes! Someone who is not holding back with the stuff he is sending to Hendon!! :D

Looking a bit more into the Brent Reservoir (a.k.a. the Welsh Harp) on wikipedia...

Quoted

During the Second World War, a seaplane was kept on the reservoir and rumoured to be an escape route for the Prime Minister.

... so this bit suggests that it was big enough back then for seaplanes to land and take off from.
And regarding the size of the reservoir...

Quoted

At its greatest extent it covered 400 acres (1.6 km²) in 1853, but was dramatically reduced to 195 acres (789,000 m²) in the 1890s, and subsequently has been reduced to 110 acres (445,000 m²).

Assuming that is was a bit bigger back then roughly in all directions, since a Runway of Hendon was on the south side of what is now the Museum, it is possible that the distance from the lake to the base might be 2 kilometers or less. With a special bus service, visitors could be taken from the airfield to the reservoir fairly quickly.
