Some Q3 News

Not all of it. Depending on some factors (like the funeral, the Nordmark/Argentina crisis, and the Madrid Air Show) some more will come later.

Remaining Q3 news from AWNR: Japan

News for the Seventh Month of the Eigth Year of the Emperor Taisho.

Wednesday, July 13
After a long trip through the Russian Federation with the Trans Siberia Express, the Emperor, Empress and their Guards arrived at Tallin. Here they boarded the Presidential Yacht Standart for the remaining part of their journey to Stockholm.

Monday, July 18
AWNR: Japan managed to get their hands on plans of a large Ocean Liner class to be built at the Yokosuka Marine Yard. No definite dates have been released, but it is almost certain that construction of three of these ships will start before the end of the year.
One of the rumors around the design is that the ship will have several trips along the North Atlantic Route from America to Europe and back during which an attempt will be made to snatch the Blue Ribbon from the Mauretania (owned by Cunard Line), which is currently the fastest ship on both the Eastbound and Westbound route.

Friday, July 22
Today it was announced that the Flagship of the Shogun, the HIJMS Fuso, accompanied by the HIJMS Nagato, and the cruisers HIJMS Jakumo and HIJMS Iwaki have been travelling toward Nordmark along the Northern Sea Route. Also it was noted that about three days ago, the four ships have met up with several warships of the Russian Federation which are transporting President Kerensky to Nordmark to attend the Funeral. No data has been released on the identity of the Russian ships.
It is believed that these ships will arrive sometimes on Saturday or Sunday in Stockholm

News for the Eight Month of the Eigth Year of the Emperor Taisho.

Monday, August 1
It has been announced by His Imperial Majesty Shodahito that, with Princess Hanako in control of the nation, he now has a good opportunity to make a tour through Europe, which will start after a visit to the Madrid Air Show in September. No further details have been released.

Monday, August 8
Japan’s Chief of Naval Weapon Development, Oonoshi Tohoda, returned with his son this morning after having witnessed General Mitchell’s Air Power demonstration. He revealed little only that he was quite impressed by the attack on the former German battleship Ostfriesland that took place on July 20 and 21.

Monday, August 29
Late in the afternoon, the battleships HIJMS Fuso and HIJMS Nagato, and the cruisers HIJMS Jakumo and HIJMS Iwaki arrived at Cadiz. From here, Emperor Shodahito, Empress Kameko, Shogun Tokugawa Kaetuza, his wife, Lady Nakamura Maeko, and the Elite Imperial Guards boarded a train for Madrid.

Tuesday, August 30
In the early hours of this morning, Japan’s carrier, the HIJMS Hosho, escorted by Japan’s latest battleship the HIJMS Mutsu, arrived in Cadiz. Various planes aboard the Hosho will participate in the Madrid Air Show. Among the planes are a few prototype carrier planes built by Mitsubishi: the 1MF1 fighter, the 2MR1 reconnaissance plane and the B1M attack aircraft.

News for the Ninth Month of the Eighth Year of the Emperor Taisho.

Saturday, September 24
A prominent businessman was found dead in his home in the village of Iruma, about 90 miles southwest of Edo. A few members of the Shinsengumi who investigated the death of the man identified him as Xun Yi Chung, a well-known Chinese arms dealer and killer. A traitor to his homeland China, he vanished some 10 years ago and appeared in the Yokohama port about 3 years ago, a few weeks after the Great War had ended. Shinsengumi officials have been keeping an eye on him ever since he moved into the house in Iruma.
Xun had been stabbed several times and his right hand was severed at the wrist. It was found about 5 yards from his body, still clutching a gun. To Shinsengumi Commander Jeehuubaa Edoga, who personally leads the investigation into Xun Yi Chung’s death, looking at the blood patterns and the way the cut was made, it was clear that the Yellow Rose Petals Strike was responsible for this, an attack used exclusively by the Nakamura and Yagyu clan Ninja to disarm an opponent drawing a firearm in close quarters, either by knocking the weapon out of his hand or cutting into any point of the opponents arm (depending on the distance) after swiftly drawing the blade from its scabbard.
There have been rumors lately that he was one of the men who supplied weapons and ammunition to the pirates harassing San Heinando and the territories around the island.

Does the name "Jeehuubaa Edoga" ring a bell?
