Could be wrong about the boats I roughly based the MTBs on (I forgot to write it down). Also data is from http://www.warshipsww2.eu/staty.php?language=E
and Gavin mentioned something about dodgy stats on that site (at least the old site) so I'm not 100% certain that data is any good...

Looks at Yamato, cowering slightly, then realising it is too far away to cause Nordmark any problems.

I am not sure Yamato is the correct name for that ship. What is 'Porcupine' in Japanese?

Yamato, but spelled using different Kanji. :D

Actually it is 'Harinezumi' (according to my Freelang dictionary). Sounds more like a name I would use for a plane.

I have concerns over the simming of that large submarine. Over half the weight is made up of fuel. 6000tons of diesel needs a volume of about 7500m^3 which is about 80x10x5, or the vast majority of the internal volume of this vessel.

I'm not sure the huge variety of submarines helps either.

37,500nm at 14.00 kts is the range given for the Sen Toku submarines. It was not I who created those submarines but the OTL Imperial Japanese Navy.

Given or not, that is one hell of a long range!!!!

I have to ask, could it be a type of the part of your source??

Got it from two sources, one of them Wikipedia, which states:

The I-400 was originally designed so that it could travel round-trip to anywhere in the world

and

Each submarine had four 3,000 horsepower (2.2 MW) engines and fuel enough to go around the world one-and-a-half times, more than enough to reach the United States from either direction.
