Overall survivability and seakeeping ability:
Survivability (Non-critical penetrating hits needed to sink ship):
34 917 lbs / 15 838 Kg = 40,4 x 12,0 " / 305 mm shells or 4,3 torpedoes
Stability (Unstable if below 1.00): 1,01
Metacentric height 3,8 ft / 1,2 m
Roll period: 18,3 seconds
Steadiness - As gun platform (Average = 50 %): 72 %
- Recoil effect (Restricted arc if above 1.00): 0,66
Seaboat quality (Average = 1.00): 1,01

Hull form characteristics:
Hull has rise forward of midbreak
and transom stern
Block coefficient: 0,525
Length to Beam Ratio: 10,00 : 1
'Natural speed' for length: 33,24 kts
Power going to wave formation at top speed: 55 %
Trim (Max stability = 0, Max steadiness = 100): 71
Bow angle (Positive = bow angles forward): 0,00 degrees
Stern overhang: 0,00 ft / 0,00 m
Freeboard (% = measuring location as a percentage of overall length):
- Stem: 29,53 ft / 9,00 m
- Forecastle (20 %): 24,61 ft / 7,50 m
- Mid (50 %): 24,61 ft / 7,50 m (22,97 ft / 7,00 m aft of break)
- Quarterdeck (15 %): 22,97 ft / 7,00 m
- Stern: 22,97 ft / 7,00 m
- Average freeboard: 24,18 ft / 7,37 m
Ship tends to be wet forward

Ship space, strength and comments:
Space - Hull below water (magazines/engines, low = better): 120,3 %
- Above water (accommodation/working, high = better): 198,3 %
Waterplane Area: 49 634 Square feet or 4 611 Square metres
Displacement factor (Displacement / loading): 106 %
Structure weight / hull surface area: 158 lbs/sq ft or 771 Kg/sq metre
Hull strength (Relative):
- Cross-sectional: 0,99
- Longitudinal: 1,07
- Overall: 1,00
Hull space for machinery, storage, compartmentation is cramped
Room for accommodation and workspaces is excellent
Ship has slow, easy roll, a good, steady gun platform

Hmm. Now that looks pretty reshpeckobiggle to me. Just three guns short of an S&G, from the looks of her. Looks like an excellent raider.

A baby Richelieu. How cute!

But 27,700 tons is a lot to pay just for 6 12" guns firing a light shell. Good belt thickness, but shallow, and no splinter protection at the ends means reduced speed if there's any damage at the waterline.

I do kinda like all-forward designs. Maybe have a little glance at the Italian armoured cruisers - they share the same gun loadout.

Range is a bit short as well. But it's VERY fast, so if that is something that you want, the design has merit.
