Foreign Minister for Romania, Mr. Nicolae Titulescu stands:

Perhaps we can begin this Congress with perhaps the most volatile subject, that of borders and territorial claims. Though Romania has no claims to any other nations currently present at this Congress, the same cannot be said of other nations here. Therefore, Romania opens the floor to a discussion on borders, and territorial claims.

OOC: Now this should be interesting. Best start the catfights now, so that we can all apologize to each other later.

Surest way to end the talks is to bring up the most intractable point first.

Cheers,

Or we could leave all the nastiness until the end, and end up breaking whatever aggreements we come up with.

Neither Byzantium nor Turkey have any territorial aspirations worth persuing.

With reguards to Turkey they'd sure like to reclaim the Greek portion of Anatolia, Cyprus and Byzantium but realistically thats not going to happen short of war, which is not in the best interests of the Republic of Turkey. Therefore we have resigned ourselves to our current borders, nothing more, nothing less.

The only borders Turkey would be willing to discuss would be the Island of Kuzi Lemani which is currently Atlantean, Byzantean and Turkish controled, quite a muddled state of affairs. Its quite possible that with the right incentives either Byzantium, Greece or Atlantis could possess the Island entirely.
