Argentine-Atlantean Non-Aggression Treaty

Preamble
The Government of the Argentine Republic and the Government of the Atlantean Empire consider that the time has come to formally codify and ratify the peaceful political relations between Argentina and Atlantis to preserve the long-term peace from any future events and protect the sizable economic investments made by both nations. They have, therefore, decided to lay down the principles for the future development of these relations in the present declaration. The two Governments base their common desires on the fact that the maintenance and guarantee of a lasting peace between their countries is an essential pre-condition for the general peace of the Western Hemisphere.

Article I.
The High Contracting Parties obligate themselves to desist from any act of aggressive action, inflammatory political polices and any form of military attack on each other, either individually or jointly with other Powers.

Article II.
Should the Argentine Republic or the Atlantean Empire become the object of belligerent action by a third Power/ State, the other High Contracting Party shall in no manner lend its support to this third Power/ State.

Article III.
Should the Argentine Republic or the Atlantean Empire initiate offensive action against a third State, the other High Contracting Party shall in no manner lend its support to this third Power/ State unless the third Power/ State is a formal Ally of the other High Contracting Party and then this Treaty is rendered null and void.

Article IV.
The high contracting parties, having regard to the interests of security of each of them and agree to work together in close and friendly collaboration for the organization of security and economic prosperity in Western Hemisphere.

They will take into account the interests of the League of Nations in these objectives and of non-interference in the internal affairs of other Allied Powers/ States of either High Contracting Party.

Article V.
The present Treaty in no way effects the obligations of the ABC or FAR Treaties in respect to the relevant High Contracting Party.

Article VI.
The present Treaty is concluded for a period of ten years, with the proviso that, in so far as one of the High Contracting Parties does not advance it one year prior to the expiration of this period, the validity of this Treaty shall automatically be extended for another ten years.

Article VII.
The present treaty shall be ratified within the shortest possible time. The ratifications shall be exchanged in. The Agreement shall enter into force as soon as the Instruments of Ratification have been exchanged in Cleito on May 7th 1935 in the Spanish and Atlantean languages, both texts being equally authentic.
