For the period, speed is WAY, WAY too high for a tracked vehicle. You've got a lot more growth room in your transmission than you'd need. Also, there's no data on any armor that the vehicle has. Is this a Tanksharp 0.6 or 0.71 vehicle?

3

Wednesday, February 6th 2008, 8:16pm

also where are the guns?

4

Wednesday, February 6th 2008, 8:19pm

its like uhm .4 tanksharp lol (I have had it forever) there is a HMG in the turret and one in the hull also in the turret is a 50 mm main gun. sec ill post the pic I drew last nite of what I was trying to sim

Its Suposed to look like this

now how well I did on that is questionable LOL

also is there a way to make things stay formated here as [pre] [/pre] aparently dosnt work

6

Wednesday, February 6th 2008, 8:29pm

First, you'll probably want to upgrade to 0.71, it makes things a fair amount easier.

Engine horsepower is awfully high for the period, as is the fuel capacity.

HMGs are questionable, especially in the hull, MMGs are usually better anti-personnel weapons than HMGs.

7

Wednesday, February 6th 2008, 9:47pm

For the report you're better off just editing it to make it easier to read.

Speed is definitely too high for Vertical Volute Spring suspension.

Yugoslavia producing some vehicles like this will lead to a rather rapid development of an Italian medium tank.

8

Wednesday, February 6th 2008, 9:59pm

the Yugoslav Military High Comand is more concernd with our Bulgar neighbors, who aparently hate us (somthing about opresing ethnic Bulgars) than our Mighty Italian neighbors. (hey you back to work cracks whip) and with the fact that we are curently entering lisence production of the Superbe Eclipse Huricane heavy fighter (realy hope that dosnt set off an arms race)

Ground pressure is extremely low. Something between 10 and 15 psi is quite reasonable. It'll allow for a much smaller and lighter vehicle.

I doubt it. Maybe it'll push for the need for heavier armament, but that is in the works anyway after experience in Argentina engaging B-17s with 4x7.7mm

other than that this version is ok though?

12

Thursday, February 7th 2008, 12:56am

Speed and armor look reasonable. The 65mm gun is questionable, whether it's reasonable or not depends a lot on whether it's a howitzer (OK) or a high-velocity cannon (not OK). The HMG is fairly questionable at this point still, there's not a lot of pre-war tanks that had AA MGs of any form, let alone HMGs.

Pretty good. I'd think you'd want to switch the top and bottom armor: you're much more likely to hit a mine than to get hit on the deck, and most of the hits you will take on the deck will come in at pretty flat angles, so your deck armor can be pretty light and be sufficient.

Oh, also: with a crew of 4 and a hull-mounted machinegun, how is the turret crew (of 2, I assume) laid out? Is the gunner loading the main gun, or is the commander?

Its only approximate but seems to work reasonably well with the basics. I'm preferring hte earlier versions as they are easier to spec out.

Doph thanks for catching that (its actualy a 5 man crew but I forgot to change it in my blank sheat i made so they would be semi legible) the original the comander was going to be the gunner with a seperate loader, but I decided I was working on a flawed theory so I added a 5th crew member (just because modern tank comander can fire the main gun they still have a dedicated guner)

19

Thursday, February 7th 2008, 5:45pm

A good decision, that means that the hull gunner is probably also the radio operator, and it lets the commander command and watch for targets. Overloading the commander was not uncommon at this time period (see the T-34, or worse most of the pre-WWII French designs), but not doing so proved a good design choice.

20

Thursday, February 7th 2008, 5:51pm

that was the general Idea, both the 27 and 31mph versions have 5 man crews, with the hull mg crewman suposedly operating the radio. My Tactical Doctrine on tanks is a bit diferent than the norm though and im tempted to build a light personel carrier (I admit thats the Marine in me coming out) maybee a pair of 50 cals in a turret or the like and a 2 0r 3 man crew, with 6 man "squad" onboard
