Checks calender and to own horror finds it isn't April 1st.

Looks like SATSUMA's planned reaction to SEAR if you ask me.

Edit 1:-

2-210mm guns with a total of 300 shells, there is no chance you can fire that many salvoes.
Also a turret isn't watertight. M1 had a deck mount, with a seperate hoist

Turret represent a watertight cover for the gun like the original Surcouf. But if I put 300 rounds consider it a mistake. You're right, the most they can do is send a couple of round in the direction of their intended target before submerging again.

Well, the I-30 design had been posted before SAER was announced (on 19.01.2008 to be exact while SAER was first posted on 26.01.2008). SAER's appearance probably turned the design from a 'never will be built' design to a 'must be built' design.

Easy enough to counter, just build more anti-sub escorts, and in my case more scouting blimps and aircraft so that the minute one of these meglomaniacal designs surfaces to shell the coast its instantly spoted and either bombed or depth charged before it can fire more than a few of shots.
