Byzantean navy

The republic of Byzantium possesses a small navy for patrol purposes consisting of 12 subchasers and 9 small patrol boats. Atlantean CMB type motor torpedo boats have also been aquired to provide a more agressive deterance. Byzantium also possesses two floatplane carriers but these are of world war one vintage and of little use other than training floatplane pilots. Byzantium also gained 381mm/52 guns, six quadruple turrets, and a supply of 381mm ammunition from the Russian federation in 1935 with the refits of the Imperator Petr Veliki class.

The focus now is on a small blue water navy consisting of sea going patrol boats and mine warfare vessels as well as modernizing the MTB fleet and providing a tender for them.

Navy units
Floatplane carrier Arrecife (taken out of service)
Floatplane carrier Tarrafal (taken out of service)
10 P class escorts

40 Coastal Motor torpedo boats (to be replaced by newer MTB's)
16 MTB-408 class MTB
9 motor patrol boats (Thornycroft type with 2 MG) taken out of service

Arrecife class Float Plane Tender

(forgot that these were transferred some time in the 30's) Both these ships are now quite worn and occationally provide training for floatplane pilots. It was speculated that some sort of replacement ship/s would relegate these two vessels to stationary repair ships for floatplane squadrons or some other task but ultimately they were decommissioned and sold into civilian service
