The King of Siam sends his regards and his greatest joys that King Harald has finally thrown off his mortal coil and is now free of the suffering that plagued him in his last years, and hopes that he is reborn into the Heavenly Realms.

He also sends his heartfelt condolences to Queen Bethanie, reminding her that her Father has not really left her, but continues to be with her through her memories of a lifetime of love and teaching.

"Dearest Bethanie,
It is with the profoundest regret that we receive news of your good fathers passing.
I grieve with you, as your loss reminds me of the loss of my own father so many years ago.

I offer any help and solice that is in my power to grant, and I only wish that I could be there with you as quickly as this note.

Christian and I will be attending the service for our father.

Time to wrap up a few loose ends, and start unravelling some new ones.

September 30th
Coldmere

The funeral service of The late King Harald was today carried out in the catherdral at the heart of the City of Coldmere, every flag in the city has flown at half mast since the 19th of the month, and today the entire population has turned out to pay their respects. Even the usually busy casino's have closed for the day.
Many foreign dignitaries from across Europe attended the service, with the tributes being led by King Carl XVI Philipp of Nordmark. Queen Bethanie expressed her thanks to her people for the respect they have shown for her father, and palace aide's have confirmed that she has decided her Father will be placed in a Fresh Casket at the centre of the family mausoleum.



8th October
Stockholm

The board of inquiry into the loss of the aircraft of the volunteer bomber squadron has delivered it's report. In short it sights inadequate defensive armament, and armour, as well as a lack of escorting fighters.
The airforce has stated that it hopes to arrange with the Boeing company for new aircraft, to be produced to a revised design here in Nordmark.


1st November

There has been uproar in the Riksdag today after it emerged that the Government, has in a deal with the German Government agreed to the conversion of the recently rebuilt Battlecruiser Gota Lejon into a high speed radio-controlled target ship for use by the Kriegsmarine, and our own Navy. Opposition parties have questioned why the ship was ever overhauled, and asked whether Herre Berg has been informed of the decision, knowing his preference for the ship.
The Minister for the Navy stated that the need for a high speed target was very great, and that Gota Lejon would be of questionable usefulness in a modern war.

10th November

The Government has announced that Elections for the Riksdag will be held next may, a decision which has the blessing of the King. The announcement comes just days after the revelations that the present Government has wasted large amounts of money on a refit for a battle-cruiser, the Gota lejon, which is now to be converted to a fast target ship.
