Sheesh since Hrolf is being practical and all, I might as well move my entries here as well.

I do note that Wotan is out of the desired size range, but it is interesting to compare her to the 8,400t Boerentange the Dutch are building.

As indicated earlier, the four designs stem were developed in the early 1930s and intended for service in the Malay Archipelago. Additionally, they were intended to comply with the Cleito Treaty.

As such, design elements may not fully match a vessel intended for the Baltic, but the Naval engineering staff are confident the appropriate modifications could be made.

Draco
Design Goal : Specialized for Coastal bombardment. The design uses four 305mm howitzers as the primary armament [note: these are simmed with 206mm guns which weigh the same, though shell weight has been adjusted to the appropriate 442.25kg.]. The howitzers would be limited in direct fire roles against naval targets unless ranges were very short (night, island) or the targets were relatively immobile.

A secondary design study did examine the feasibility of two triple 210mm turrets, and concluded those would be a valid alternative, but would not have the same bombardment capacity

The 206mm guns are actually 305mm howitzers, based on the Italian 305/17 Mod 17. The weights are equivalent.
The 1917 weapon had a range of 19,245yds/ 17,600m. Improvements to gun and shell have increased the range to 21,900 yds / 12.44 miles with a flight time of 68.9 sec.

Fuselier
Design Goal : Escort cruiser, auxiliary roles.
The Fuselier class was conceived on the basis that the primary combatant to penetrate the rear areas would be fast vessels of the motor torpedo boat, destroyer or light cruiser types. The main battery would be very effective in countering such threats. To counter the possibility of engaging multiple light, or a single heavy cruiser, extensive armoring was used to enhance survivability.

Should a heavy cruiser be encountered, at most ranges the vessels would be resistant to each others fire, but the higher rate of 152mm fire should pose a reasonable chance of a soft kill.

Tijgerhaai
Design Goal : Lead Kanoneerbooten, small unit combat, escort roles.
The six vessels of the Tijgerhaai class serve as flotilla leaders for Gruno class kanoneerbooten. The 8x 125mm have high elevations to allow improved gunfire support of ground units, as well as anti-aircraft capacity. Against marauding small combatants or destroyer size vessels, the heavy battery is expected to effective in direct fire roles.

The class has light armor to prevent critical damage. While insufficient against even SAP, much less AP shells, the armor is splinter proof and should exclude HE rounds. As a common practice for smaller guns is to issue only HE, such light armor may prove sufficient in many cases. Even in cases where the opposing force switches to SAP or AP, there is a considerable loss of explosive power, reducing overall damage.

I do note that Wotan is out of the desired size range, but it is interesting to compare her to the 8,400t Boerentange the Dutch are building.

Yep, too big in displacement, main gun bore size, and (probably) thickness of main belt armor. Germany doesn't really have any little CDS designs, so we proposed what we had.

Heh, I can understand that. The Dutch happened to look very hard at just how they wanted to use their CDS tonnage, and so had a number of variants that had a reasonable chance of having been worked up enough that they could present them as proposals. Though I should have worked up a version of that training cruiser you pointed out would make a nice escort.
