Cool picture at least, has that early 30s look :)

I have no idea as to what Xplane 8.X is, but I have found good success in putting historical planes into planebuilder and having them work.

It doesn't appear to have space for weapons from the drawing.

www.x-plane.com I used planebuilder to build it then flew it in Xplane Proper, controlls are a little sensitive but other than that she is a quick agile bad ass little plane. I debated fixed or folding gear and as for weps they are in the wing roots Syncronization gear i assume but plane maker wasnt real clear on how the rounds didnt hit the props it just worked assume syncro gear. it can carry a 500 lbs bomb load but i decided they looked a bit on the funkey side slung under it aka as usual with xplane it can be over loaded with no ill results, and it can be up engined to around 950 horse and still function preaty well albeit with reduced range. cuts range down to about 700 miles but damn it is fast then

Something in a similar motif I was playing around with as a possible competitor in the Army's new fighter competition before my meds finally kicked in. ;)

The pilot view for carrier landings (or just in general) isn't very good.

How about having the guns in the wheel spats like the Lysander?

A general comment that you probably need a larger aircraft to build a massive radial engine around (P47?)

hadnt thought about putin the guns in the spats thats actualy a good idea. and as for larger duh =P its a pure spead bird btw view isnt realy that bad the plane is realy just that short. and yah mine stasrted as a gee bee but if you look you can see i moved the pilot compartment forward to improve view and balance, i also enlarged the tail area, and modified the wing to increase stability

Mounted on the side above the wings centered?

I hope you plan on giving your pilots "Danger Money" for just sitting in those things!!!

my test pilots report that it is a dream ship to fly fast agile just slightly eratic and prone to sliding off in tight turns. however nothing a experianced pilot cant handle
