Plane Specs

Ok, had two previous posts with full planebuilders, which are terribly long as a result.

RA suggested a boiled down version, which is what I used to do because itis sensible. But it lacks enough to reverse engineer. On the other hand Planebuilder's standard report is badly formated and omits some things you might want to see.

However, that got me to thinking- there are really only a couple of variables that matter that get missed. Structure, airstrip type, max speed, max g, stall speed, cleaness, unstreamlined cross-section tacked on to RA's or my boiled down versions would go a long way towards reverse-engineering the design.

So I came up with a hybrid. Which still isn't satisfactory.

So I'm reposting the bombers (added a crewmen to 115 also) see if this is a more readible format, while still having all the information.

Then- what do we want to do- plane builder? boiled down? or mix?

So here goes. All stats at max weight.

Well is neat and clean as boiled down versions are I'm sure its helpfull to some to see a full report as with ships, that way theres no fudging numbers and others can comment on either realism or flaws.

Ok, I'll stick to just cut & paste of the Planebuilder for "Aircraft Design" posts and continue using the boiled down version in my encyclopedia. I don't think I'll bother reposting the D115 with 6 instead of 5 crew though, they're close enough.

Readibility- doing the best I can. - Trying to use bolds to separate planes, alternately I could make 1 plane per post, or 1 plane/reply on a thread. Optimally the best would be 1 at a time, but way things are I tend to have time in chunks here and there, so bunches come out at once.

I've been posting all new designs out of Atlantis on the aircraft design board as well in an effort to keep the tech level public.

I suppose thats a reasonable idea for the non-historical designs.

Well as I've no spreadsheet capability and installing any such would likely kill this nearly nine-year-old dinosaur, I'll be sticking to historical- or mostly-historical designs.
