Probably not. In OTL they were too busy being invaded. Mexico with similar size/ bit larger was fielding some interesting designs. Not great but about average.

Could always take a different route; light weight, massive wing, outturn just about anything.

Thanks Red, I'd seen those before and totally forgot about them! Not sure if they'd be any more successful than the Northrop wings post WW2 as far as stability, etc...

Okay, how's this.

2,407 HP engines?

It's a flying wing with 3 of them.

If Chosen has the proper aero-industry - which I wonder about - 5 to 10 as a National Prestige Project could be possible, if costly and drawn-out. Anything more, however, wouldn't be feasible.

Why did you wait until now to tell me?

Er...because you waited until now to post the idea?
;)

Seriously though - of course Walter would have a more definitive answer, but it's quite possible that some Japanese aero-manufacturers would have manufacturing facilities located in Chosen to build their parent companies' products for the RCAF. So, in aero-tech Chosen would be at about the same level as Japan...but their overall production capacity in planes-per-month would be rather lower.
