BT 26.06.21: FLAGS GO HALFMAST

At noon today the Nordmark embassy in Copenhagen was observed lowering its flag to halfmast. Shortly after a motorcar carrying the ambassador in formal uniform departed for Amalienborg. After this the embassy has been closed to non-acredited visitors, and the embassy guards no longer carry ceremonial uniforms and weapons, but appear in regular combat uniform, carrying additional ammunition. Our foreign correspondents report similar scenes have taken place in capital cities all over the civilised world.
