Troops have been in action in the Caazapa Department to try and stop the growing rebel influence. Government losses have been light.
Oct 11
Rebels have attacked several convoys through out the country but mostly in Caazapa Department. Many rebels have been killed and two hide-outs attacked.

Rebel Gazette
The honourable leader Luis Contreras has formed a new movement out of the various rebel groups. The new coalition will be called the United Paraguayan Anti-Government Front (UPAF). Together we shall move forwards to reclaim our nation from the corrupt regime now in power.

The town of Coronel Oviedo has been encircled by rebel troops for two days in an area previously untroubled by rebels. By the time government forces arrived the rebels had dispersed into the surrounding countryside but not before some bridges had been destroyed.

Oct 18
Rebels have raided the main bank in Abai and stole a large amount of money and some gold. Three guards were killed in the blast as the rebels blew the safe open.

Oct 20
Troops are trying to stem the flood of refugees over the border into Argentina and SAE. So far no further shipments of arms have been intercepted from Argentina but troops remain on the alert. So far the Argentines have failed to explain the events of August 21st.

Nov 12
Troops have clashed with rebel forces around Abai and overnight the rebels supported by some field guns made small advances.

The leaders of Caazapa Department have been executed for treason today by loyal troops. Our president General Hector Ramon Garioza Ruiz Diaz has made a public speech today, “the traitors who wish to overthrow the government are agents of foreign powers. They must be destroyed. I know the majority of the loyal population will resist the take-over of our strong nation with their lives. Argentina and the South African Empire in the south and Brazil in the north are trying to swallow our nation into their empires. We must stop them and fight to the bitter end. We shall win because good always prevails over evil.”

Dec 2
The Asuncion-Caacupe railway was cut last night by a small band of rebels. A company of infantry are being deployed to cover the entire section and cavalry patrols will commence.

Dec 15
News that Peru has invaded Bolivia to help Chile is proof that the imperialistic Iberia are trying to regain the continent and the treacherous Peru are their puppets. Meanwhile the world stands by and lets this happen and the traitors at home who wish to hand our nation over prevent us from striking back. We must let the word know that we will not tamely submit to the Iberian master plan.

Dec 27
The Asuncion-Caacupe railway was cut again last night. A cavalry patrol was ambushed and sixteen men killed. Four rebels have been captured.

Dec 30
The main barracks in Abai has been attacked by artillery fire and some damage was caused. Two rebels took refuge in the church and had to be forced from the building by a company of soldiers. Meanwhile a small group took the Commandant’s wife and children hostage.

Dec 31
General offensive in the Abai area but rebel activity has increased in neighbouring departments stretching Army reserves.
