Why is the rebuilt El Zorro larger than the original SS report and larger than the original real size?

The guns look fine but I doubt the 24" torpedoes will fit. I can see why you would change the machinery though. ;0)

Mexico probably wants to rebuild the bow, and she has become lower in the water so, she will have a greater berth at the waterline, though the free board needs adjusting

The torps will fit in 2 twins

Well I dont know how accurate the original report is, it seems a bit light.

The 24" torpedoes was a last minute addition, I dont know if I'll add them, or where I'll get them. I might just go with the 21" torpedoes.

A drawing of her compared to other Mexican ships.

She will be used as a testbed for the 47mm automtic guns, and for special missions. Her quarterdeck is cleared and can be reconfigured for minelaying, minesweeping, or later on as a "human" torpedo carrier.
