Knew it wouldn't be long before...

So long as the Peruvians don't pick the Colombians as their enemy's all should be fine!

September 27th 1932- Reports of the events in Paraguay have reached Peru and this is considered by many elements in the Cortes as an example of the growing unrest on the region. The Paraguayan ambassador was called to the presidential palace today for consultations in regard to the situation in his country and what the Iberian-Peruvian alliance can do to help in ending the impasse between the rival groups in that nation.

OOC: In reality not a lot they can do except try to convey the "advantages" of the Iberian umbrella to certain sectors in Paraguay.

The last thing Iberia needs is more enemy's in the region, extending the "Iberian umbrella" into the heart of Brazilian, Argentinian and Chilean territory would do just that.

They could try but most in this case is more like trying to convince some sectors of the war-torn Paraguay that the helping of Iberia is the answer. Of course 99% they will fail completely, especially with the chaos on Paraguay right now.

I don't see any other outcome rather than failure, the only option at this point is to let the civil strife/war settle itself out, then engage the likely victor politically.

Paraguays larger neighbours certainly don't veiw the current government as a good thing and would likely thwart any attempts at third party's getting involved.

Mexico is seriously considering going to the help of the Goverment of Paraguay. Only the revolution is stopping any attempts for the time being.

Argentina has taken action to secretly remove the current government of Paraguay because it poses a danger to her northern border. It also looks to the danger of Brazil's border moving further south.

The Argentines want it made clear that any attempts to intefere will not be looked kindly upon. By any other nation. My ultimate aim is annexation in the form of a mutual desire for union with Argentina. It benefits both nations, they get a democratic government, jobs and reconstruction (open to foreign investors so all WW nations can make money) and Argentina gets a more land and resources. After all we are liberating Paraguay, who will invite us to help them, not like Chile Vs Bolivia.

Mexico need not bother about the Catholic rebels, their resuced leader is an Argentine puppet, they can be dealt with later...
